Can you remove warts using duck tape?

August 31st, 2008 by admin

I have an annoying wart on my finger. I hear time and time again that u can remove warts over time by rapping them with duck tape. Does anyone have any knowledge on this?

i don't think it would work but even if it does, it would leave a scar. it is better if you go to a dermatologist like what i did and burn it off instead. that way, it would be way less painful and more likely to not leave a scar

i used clear women's finger nail polish as recommended by Dr. Gott of Florida. He has a weekly column in the paper. It worked for me.

That would be DUCT tape and WRAPPING.

Duck - an aquatic bird that quacks

    Rapping - Singing/talking rap music

Sorry - I'm not sure if this treatment works. I have heard of it though. Best Wishes!

i was told by a pediatrician that she used to use duct tape all the time on warts. give it a shot, it couldn't hurt.

Yes, it cuts off the oxygen flow to the wart and it dies. Nail polish also works. File the dead skin off after you have had the tape on for a while, it speeds up the process.

yeah, there was a study that got a good bit of press a few years ago, showing that this method was more effective than other methods available. You just leave the duct tape on until the moisture makes the wart fall apart.
