What is the best method/treatment for common warts on hand? Thanks.?

September 6th, 2008 by admin

I have at least 10 warts on each hand and have been going to my Dermatologist for nitrogen freezes. This is very painful. Please let me know what is the most effective way to stop them from coming back.

Warts are a virus. At times a dozen on hands will disappear over night with no treatment. If adquately removed, they will not recur in that location.

When I was young I had a wart and I went to the doctor, he said to make a paste of meat tenderizer and water and put it on and do it everyday for 2 weeks. Believe it or not that wart went away.

I had one on my foot once. I had it frozen off with nitrogen and it never came back.

I feel so bad for you because I know how painful the nitrogen freezes are! Have you tried over the counter products? For minor warts, I used a product called Duofilm. There are many other products too, maybe you could talk to a pharmacist and see what is available that way. :) Hope you are feeling better soon!

Natural herbs to kill the virus from the inside is the only way that will get rid of them long term. Olive Tree Oil is a good one. Aloe Vera is ok as well. Go to your local natrual foor or herb store and ask them for help.

I had one on a finger when I was a kid, and couldn't get rid of it…compound W, dermatologist, etc. It kept coming back!

I finally found a natural remedy that worked. Baking soda mixed with castor oil, until you can roll it in a ball. Take a chunk off the ball, and put it directly on the wart(s), cover with a bandage. Do this a couple times a day, and your warts will literally get eaten away. I don't know if this is due to the salt content, but it worked for me.

Also, my daughters recently had plantars warts on their feet from camp. A mixture of powdered sulfer and salycitic acid (like for acne) took care of them in 6 weeks.

    Good luck!
