My 4 year old has a wart right on his finger that’s pretty unsightly and its already interfering with how he holds a pencil.

Are there any home or over the counter remedies to get rid of warts on kids, that actually work. I wanted to try other methods before I take him in to get it frozen off - I doubt he’ll think that’s so great.

I had a wart for a long time when i was a kid. Finally my mom bought some compound w and i put it on every night the key is to put duck tape on it. I repeated this process every night and it went away. I guess a band aid would work just as well…. But i think the duct tape has more of a grab to take off layer by layer

I am just curious on where you would have to go to get a Wart removed?

you can have your family doctor do it or a dermatologist. they can do it in the office.

warts are caused by a virus……to get rid of them you can cover them with duct tape for a couple of weeks…..the duct tape irritates the skin and causes the immune system to attack the cause of the irritation….which also causes the immune system to attack the wart virus ultimately getting rid of the wart.
